This one’s the CL203, the C-Class Sport Coupe — the last body style in the W203 family I’ve covered, after the W203 sedan and S203 estate.
A Car I Barely Ever Saw, and Now Never Do
Even years ago, the CL203 was one of those cars you’d only run into every once in a while here in Korea. These days, it’s practically gone — I searched for them on Naver recently, and there’s barely anyone left who still owns one. It’s a genuinely good-looking car, and I’d love to see one up close again someday.
Where It Looks Best
The rear quarter glass is the spot I’d point to first on this one — it suits the coupe’s roofline really well. Take a look at the application photo if you want to see it placed there.
I also put together a composited photo showing it on the rear bumper, which is a solid second option if you’d rather keep it off the glass entirely.
Keep It Small
My recommendation here is 14 cm (about 5.51 in), and I’d stick close to that rather than sizing up. This design works best as a small, deliberate detail rather than a large graphic — going bigger tends to take away from what makes it work in the first place.
Design Details
Like the rest of this series, the corners on the lettering are rounded rather than sharp, which helps it hold up better over time without lifting at the edges.
